My husband and I live in Columbia, South Carolina with the best of family nearby. He’s a carpenter. I’m on staff to a ginger-colored feline.

Some of my favorite things are to garden, travel, write, and spend time with family. You’ll see a lot about those subjects on this site.

And I enjoy taking photos — you might see a few of those, too.

I love to write. And I spend a lot of time thinking about writing. This is the place for things that are fun to write about but don’t fit into a novel very well.

I only recently began taking the craft of fiction seriously — acknowledging the existence of stories inside that wanted to find expression on paper. So in 2011, at the age of 60, my first story came to be written. Now I have four to play with.

I’m reworking that first story. It’s amazing how much I didn’t know then — more of a romp in the park to discover the characters. But it was a delightful romp. Now to turn it into a novel.
