I started organizing for pay twenty-some years ago.
Professional organizers are in-house counselors who can better see the reality of a person’s life, right there, in the midst of all the unresolved issues.
It’s delightful to see people change. I believe a lot of us would find the simplicity we’re seeking once we drop the lies we believe. Finding these lies can be a challenge sometimes, but asking gentle questions brings clarity.
I read fiction so I’ll be able to recognize the good stuff when I see it in my own writing. I also read a lot about about helping people because, ultimately, that is my goal.
I write novels as well as a bit of poetry. I also keep a journal so I can keep track of what I’m thinking, feeling, & doing. Journaling is crucial to honesty, sanity, integrity, and in general keeping my soul (mind, will, & emotions) whole.
I spend a lot of time outside: walking, hiking, gardening, watching the local wildlife, or just enjoying the sun and breeze. There is beauty and awe and joy there. My desk is centered at a trio of windows overlooking the paradise in my backyard.
And I enjoy taking photos — of things that lift my soul…
